Can I get this bonus if I open my account in branch?
Yes, this offer is available both in branch and online.
Can I open a joint account with this promotion?
Yes! As long as neither of you have an existing chequing account with BMO or have closed an account between March 2, 2020 and July 4, 2021.
Can I get this bonus if I apply for a discounted banking plan?
Yes, if you’re part of the following programs: Senior, BMO NewStartTM, Registered Disability Savings Plan, Indigenous Banking, Bank at Work - Group Banking and PwC Bank at Work. All other discounted plans are excluded from this offer.
I already have an account with BMO, am I still eligible?
No, unfortunately if you already have a chequing account with us you are not eligible for this promotion. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more details.
I recently closed an account, am I still eligible?
If you closed your account between March 2, 2020 and July 4, 2021, you aren’t eligible for this promotion.
Can I earn multiple bonuses by opening multiple accounts?
No, you’ll only earn a bonus on the first account that you open, assuming you meet the eligibility criteria.
Do I have to make my bill payments for two consecutive months via OLB/Mobile banking or can I make them in-branch or at the ATM machine?
Bill payments needs to be done through OLB/Mobile banking in order to be eligible for the bonus.
Is there a minimum dollar value for the bill payments in order to qualify for the $300 offer?
Bill payments must be of minimum $50 each in order to qualify for the offer.
Are bill payments made to BMO credit cards considered as an eligible bill payment?
Bill payments to BMO Credit Cards through Online/Mobile Banking will be considered as an eligible payment as per campaign criteria. Transfers to BMO Credit Cards through Online/Mobile Banking will not qualify as a bill payment.
Can I get the $50 Family Bundle bonus with the Plus Plan?
No, you can only get a Family Bundle, and the $50 bonus, with either a Performance or Premium Plan.
Do I get more than one $50 bonus if I add more than one family member?
No, the maximum bonus for adding a family member is $50 even if you add more than one family member.
Do I have a minimum amount for a Pre-authorized payment or can the payment be for any amount?
Pre-Authorized Payments must be of minimum $50 each in order to qualify for the offer.
