3. a) Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each balance transfer amount is eligible for a promotional interest rate of 0.99% provided that each balance transfer is posted to your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard account (the “Account”) in the first 9 (nine) statement periods from the Account open date (“Promotional Period”) , and your Account remains in good standing. Offer is available to new customers only upon Account approval for applications submitted on or after September 2, 2022. Balances from other BMO credit card accounts are not eligible to be transferred. The promotional rate will no longer apply to your Account if you transfer into a card other than the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard. Balance transfers apply to Canadian dollar amounts only.
b) Balance transfers do not qualify to earn loyalty rewards such as AIR MILES Reward Miles. Balance transfers are treated as cash advances and the promotional interest rate applies from the date the transactions are posted to your Account until the last day of the Promotional Period. After the Promotional Period expires, any remaining balance transfer amounts will be charged interest at the standard annual interest rate for cash advances. The promotional interest rate of 0.99% does not apply to purchases, fees, cash advances and other charges posted to your Account during the Promotional Period. Standard interest rates will continue to apply to those transactions. Please refer to your monthly statement for the interest rate applicable to your Account.
c) Each balance transfer is subject to a fee of 2% which will be charged to your account on the date the balance transfer is posted to your Account. For example, if an amount of $1,000 is transferred to your Account, you will be charged a fee of $20. You may request a balance transfer for as low as $100, as long as the transfer amount plus the fee, does not exceed the unused portion of the credit limit on your Account.
d) If your Account has balances with different interest rates, such as purchases with a standard interest rate and balance transfers with a promotional interest rate, any payment that exceeds the minimum payment will be allocated proportionately to those balances according to the terms set out in section 14 of the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. For example, if you have an $800 purchases balance at the standard interest rate and a $200 balance transfer balance at a promotional interest rate, 80 per cent of your payment will be allocated to your purchases balance and 20 percent will be allocated to your balance transfer balance. This offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice.
e) You will pay interest on purchases unless you pay your full Account balance by the payment due date. For example, if you complete a balance transfer for $5,000 and spend $2,000 in purchases during the same statement period, you must pay the entire balance of $7,000 before the payment due date to avoid paying interest on your purchases. You will be charged interest if you only pay the amount owing for your purchases. There is no interest-free grace period for cash advances or balance transfers.
f) To transfer balances from non-BMO credit card accounts, register for Online Banking or log in at bmo.com and do the following; select your Mastercard account, then select Set up Balance Transfer or Pre-authorized payment, then select Credit Card Balance Transfer and follow the instructions to complete the transfer.

12. Exclusive 25% Flight Booking Discount: If you have the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard, once per calendar year when you redeem Reward Miles for any flight booking, you will receive a 25% discount on the number of AIR MILES Reward Miles that are usually required (to a maximum of 750 Reward Miles) when you book through airmiles.ca or by calling 1-888-247-6453. The flight booking discount applies to the full flight booking and will be distributed equally on each ticket included in the booking, to a maximum of 750 Miles total. For example, if your booking included three 1,500 Miles flights totalling 4,500 Miles, then each flight would receive a 250 Miles discount, and you’d be required to redeem 3,750 Miles for the booking. Any portion of the maximum 750 allocated discounted Miles unused in the one eligible flight booking transaction will be forfeited. You can choose when to apply the discount – for example, on your first flight booking in the calendar year; or save it to apply on another flight booking later in the year – but it can only be used once per calendar year with no carry-overs allowed to the following year. For greater clarification, the 25% flight booking discount resets every calendar year and cannot be accumulated over the years. This benefit can only be reset for the collector to use in the same calendar year if the original booking where the benefit was used is cancelled under all of the following conditions: (i) the booking was cancelled in full (not for partial cancellations; i.e., one ticket), (ii) the cancellation happens within the same year of booking, and (iii) the airline issues a full refund for the booking. This benefit does not apply to Cash + Miles rewards. There are no blackout periods for flight redemptions. This benefit does not apply to the cash portion of the flight redemption (such as airport improvement fees and booking fees) or to the flight component of package vacations and cruises. 3. a) Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each balance transfer amount is eligible for a promotional interest rate of 0.99% provided that each balance transfer is posted to your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard account (the “Account”) in the first 9 (nine) statement periods from the Account open date (“Promotional Period”) , and your Account remains in good standing. d) If your Account has balances with different interest rates, such as purchases with a standard interest rate and balance transfers with a promotional interest rate, any payment that exceeds the minimum payment will be allocated proportionately to those balances according to the terms set out in section 14 of the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. For example, if you have an $800 purchases balance at the standard interest rate and a $200 balance transfer balance at a promotional interest rate, 80 per cent of your payment will be allocated to your purchases balance and 20 percent will be allocated to your balance transfer balance. e) You will pay interest on purchases unless you pay your full Account balance by the payment due date. Exclusive 25% Flight Booking Discount: If you have the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard, once per calendar year when you redeem Reward Miles for any flight booking, you will receive a 25% discount on the number of AIR MILES Reward Miles that are usually required (to a maximum of 750 Reward Miles) when you book through airmiles.ca or by calling 1-888-247-6453. The flight booking discount applies to the full flight booking and will be distributed equally on each ticket included in the booking, to a maximum of 750 Miles total. 25. This offer is available only to AIR MILES collectors who received this offer invitation; offer is non-transferable. To qualify for the offer, eligible collectors must apply for a new BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard or a new BMO AIR MILES Mastercard through the offer link provided in the offer invitation by following the online instructions to complete and submit the credit card application between DATE, 2023 and February 24, 2023. Your BMO AIR MILES credit card application must be received between DATE, 2023 and February 24, 2023 (the “Offer Period”) and approved by DATE, 2023 to be eligible to get 20 cents off per litre, on 10 fill-ups made at Shell from April 1 to February 24, 2023, to a maximum of 50 litres per transaction. Offer is limited to new accounts. Existing BMO AIR MILES credit card customers who cancel their card during the Offer Period, and existing BMO credit card customers who transfer into a BMO AIR MILES credit card product during the Offer Period are not eligible for the offer.
26. Between April 1 to February 1, 2023, eligible collectors save $0.20 per litre, up to 50 litres per transaction, and up to a maximum of 10 fuel purchase transactions, at participating Shell locations (excluding Flying J locations). This offer is applicable to all fuel grades. The maximum volume of fuel eligible for the $0.20 per litre per collector number is 400 litres. To receive the $0.20 per litre savings at the pump, the eligible AIR MILES collector number must be connected to your new BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard or your new BMO AIR MILES Mastercard and the eligible AIR MILES card must be swiped at the time of the purchase transaction.
